Run to the Lord for Compassion and Forgiveness

📍 📍 Don't just be hearers of God's word. Be doers of his word. Verse 27. Acts chapter eight verse 27. So we got up and went. Remember the messenger of the Lord told him to go.

Philip got up and went. There's no, he had to pray about it. I'm, I heard that plenty of times. God tell me to do something or you're told to do something. I'm gonna pray about it for a little bit instead of just doing it. You don't trust the message from the Lord because you'd rather just do what you wanna do.

I'm, just gonna use this excuse. It's a holy excuse too. I'm gonna pray about it. We don't see Philips here stopping and doing anything. Why? Because he understands what is taking place.

Faith in Action Doers and Not Just Hearers

📍 📍 We'll never know what the Lord is trying to lead us to do unless we spend time with him in prayer and reading his word. I'm gonna challenge each and every one of us here to.

Spend time throughout your day, throughout your week this week to take time, to put your phone down, to step aside and be silent, even if it's with your family. Whatever it is doing, just sit down and spend time to understand what God is, understand what his word says. Try to focus and align your life with God's revealed will.

Finding Direction in a Busy World

📍 📍 And our motto as a church is to take root in Christ, to bear fruit in life. First and foremost, it starts with Christ. If you're gonna bear fruit in this life, you have to be grounded and set your roots firmly in the soil of Christ.

His firm foundation will ensure guide you and direct you to make sure that as you go forth from this place, you'll continue to understand more and more the message of the Lord as you are able to explain and or explain the message of the Lord, then you can be an example of what the Lord has called each and every one of us to do.

Rooted in Christ, Bearing Fruit in Life

You might sometimes struggle to hear God's voice, and indeed we will never hear his voice audibly, but we will by the power of His spirit, be guided and directed to do things that are in alignment with his word. And if our thoughts or inclinations are trying to drive us away from that, we may well be in need of a readjusting or realigning ourselves with his word.

Listen to the Message of the Lord 🌟

📍 📍 It's easy to 📍 say, follow the message of the Lord or follow the Lord's Word, but yet still we'll fall and we'll sin and we will feel miserable about it mostly. Then what do we do? How do we continue?

To move on. How do we continue to live if we know that we're trying to follow the message of the Lord, but we keep failing and falling short, we go back to the message of the Lord, we go back to the message of the Lord and we see what his message indeed says, and then we follow the message of the Lord again and understand that.

We didn't do anything in order to earn this salvation. It is all by Christ and Christ alone who saved us. So whenever we fall short of God's glory, yes, we are able to get back up based upon what Christ has done for us.
