Where to Find Us
The Valley Remnant Church
130 Greenwood Ave.
Belle Vernon, PA 15012
We have a free lot on site, so park anywhere in it and come to the main entrance. Someone will be at the door to say hello and help you find a seat. If you would rather slip in without a conversation, that is fine too. Nobody will chase you down.
While flood repairs are being finished at Greenwood Ave., we are worshiping at First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon, 501 Fayette St. Our service there begins at 1:15 PM. We expect to be back home on Greenwood Ave. shortly, and we will update this page the moment we are.
What a Sunday Looks Like
Our worship is simple, and it is built on the Word. We sing together, we pray together, we read Scripture, and then we sit under a sermon that works straight through a book of the Bible, verse by verse. Right now we are in Hebrews. We preach from the Christian Standard Bible, and there are Bibles available if you did not bring one.
Plan on about ninety minutes from start to finish.
You will not be singled out. We do not ask visitors to stand up, raise a hand, or introduce themselves to the room. You are free to come, sit, listen, and leave without anyone putting you on the spot.
Questions People Ask Before They Come
What should I wear?
Come as you are. You will see suits and you will see jeans, and nobody is counting. We care that you are here, not what you have on.
What do I do with my kids?
Your children are welcome in the service with you. We believe families worship best together, and we are not bothered by the noise that comes with that. If you need a moment with a fussy little one, we have a cry room where you can still hear the service.
Will I be asked for money?
No. We do not pass a plate. There is a small box in the back, and those who are led to give leave their offering there. As a visitor, you are not expected to give anything.
Will someone pressure me to join?
No. You are welcome to visit as long as you like. If you ever want to talk about membership, we hold a class that walks through what we believe and how the church works, and you can ask about it whenever you are ready.
What kind of church is this?
We are an independent Reformed Baptist congregation. We hold to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith, we baptize believers by immersion, and we preach the doctrines of grace. If those words are new to you, that is not a problem. Come and listen.
I still have questions.
Ask them. Use the form below, or email info@valleyremnant.com, or call 855-379-1689. A real person will get back to you.

Let Us Know You’re Coming
You do not have to tell us you are coming. But if you do, we will watch for you, save you a seat, and have someone ready to meet you at the door.
Come and See
Our mission is to express the transforming power of Jesus Christ by going to the Mid-Mon Valley, sowing the seeds of the Gospel, and growing in the love of God and our neighbors. That starts with people walking through the door. We would be glad if you were one of them.
